Federal Pell Grant

Provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students to promote access to post-secondary education.

Georgia Hope Scholarship

Entering freshmen who are Georgia residents may qualify for the HOPE Scholarship if they graduated from an eligible high school with a 3.0 or higher grade point average.

Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant

Provides non-repayable grants to eligible Georgia residents enrolled full-time who are attending approved private colleges in Georgia.

Georgia Zell Miller Scholarship

Available to high school graduates with a 3.7 or higher grade point average and a minimum score of 1200 on the SAT or 26 on ACT.

Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship

Awarded to Christian, female students from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee or Florida.

Martin VB Teem Scholarship

Institutionally funded grant aid awarded on the basis of demonstrated need as reported on the FAFSA.

External Scholarships

Many agencies, employers, military and service organizations award funds to students.

United Methodist Ministerial Tuition Benefit

Dependent children of active United Methodist ministers or missionaries may receive a scholarship for 45 percent of tuition.

Courtesy Tuition Benefit for Undergraduates

Available to dependent children of eligible Emory faculty and staff.

Veteran's Education Benefits

Veterans or dependents of veterans may qualify for monthly education benefits.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Federal grant awarded based on a federal formula using data provided in your aid application.

National Merit Scholarship

Entering National Merit finalists, who select Emory as their first choice college, will receive a National Merit Scholarship of $2000 sponsored by Emory.

Emory College Grant

Emory College Grant is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need using the information from the Profile and FAFSA.

Emory Opportunity Award

A merit award that offered to select students by the Office of Admissions in recognition of their academic excellence.

Emory Scholars Program

Awarded to incoming freshmen, and renewable provided the student maintains high academic standing.

BBA Grant

Institutionally funded grant aid awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need.

BBA Dean's Scholarship

Scholarship recipients formerly in Emory College or Oxford College will have their merit scholarships renewed in the Business School through the BBA Dean's Scholarship provided they maintain high academic standing.

Ivory Henson Scholarship

Institutionally funded grant aid awarded on the basis of demonstrated need as reported on the FAFSA.

Lupton Scholarship

Institutionally funded grant aid awarded on the basis of demonstrated need as reported on the FAFSA.

Study Abroad

If you are planning to study abroad, you should meet with your financial aid advisor as far in advance as possible to determine your eligibility for study abroad.

Emory Advantage

Emory Advantage is Emory University's financial aid initiative to help students from families with annual total incomes of $100,000 or less who demonstrate a need for financial aid. The program reduces the amount of money borrowed to pay for an undergraduate Emory degree. The goal is to make an Emory education attainable for any qualified student, regardless of income.

Yellow Ribbon Program

This program allows degree granting institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the VA to fund tuition expenses that exceed the annual VA tuition and fees benefit.

Dean's Achievement Scholarship

Continuing student merit scholarships are collectively known as the Dean's Achievement Scholarships.
